MSDS-Europe – Safety Data Sheet Review and Updating
Safety data sheet updating (revision) – during our service for SDS review and updating we prepare a safety data sheet that is professionally correct and fully compliant – in both format and content – with the legal requirements in effect at the time of the review and update.
During the SDS review, we take into account all relevant requirements – including Article 31 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) and Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/878 – as well as the national rules in force at the product’s place of use.
Our team of experts undertakes SDS updates and revisions in any official language of the European Economic Area, and if necessary we can assist with translations into additional target languages. We do not rely on SDS software to create safety data sheets, as we trust in the high quality of expert work.

Frequently asked questions about the SDS update service
Useful information regarding SDS updates
SDS updating can be done based on an existing, but outdated, safety data sheet, or even on a newer version (possibly in another language) issued by the manufacturer/supplier.
In every case, we make the necessary modifications taking into account the latest data provided to us and the currently applicable regulations.
If the latest supplier SDS is in a foreign language, we will professionally translate the new information it contains and incorporate it into the SDS being updated – indeed, we also correct any previous translation inaccuracies to ensure that the new document is flawless in terms of language.
We review every section to ensure it complies with the latest standards and templates.
If a classification already exists, we verify its correctness and correct it if necessary (e.g., in the event of new classification criteria or new classification information).
If any component has changed or deviates from the regulatory lists, we update it in the SDS.
If necessary, we update these in the appropriate section of the data sheet to ensure that the workplace safety information is current.
This includes the introduction of new hazard classes, warnings regarding banned substances, or any content elements required by a new or amended regulation. Thus, the updated data sheet fully complies with the applicable requirements.
This ensures that the SDS not only meets legal requirements but is also easily understandable to non-specialist users while maintaining its professional integrity.
This ensures that the transport information in Section 9 is also up to date.
Thus, all references in the document will be up to date, which is important for demonstrating compliance.
