Our services related to PCN notification have been framed in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/542 and its amendments. Our goal is to provide the highest level of professional service for those who are obliged to notification.

 

Our services related to PCN notification

In accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/542, the notification of hazardous mixtures falling under the scope of Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation is based on the data provided to us via the PCN portal (Cloud-based IUCLID).

Theoretical and practical training for employees who will be able to submit notifications and handle the company’s whole “UFI strategy” on their own.

PCN basic training

Preparatory, theoretical training

4 hours + 1 hour support

This training is recommended for those companies who has to submit their products in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/542 and who considers it necessary to learn the appropriate theoretical background.

Topics of the basic training

  • Explanation of the provisions of the Regulation
  • Assistance for the correct interpretation and for understanding the context
  • Discussion of obligations
  • Collection of necessary data and documents
  • Providing support for strategic planning
  • Advice on keeping the notification up-to-date
  • Providing basic (theoretical) training on the expected tasks to the assigned colleague
  • We will also prepare an action plan and propose solution to any problems that may arise with the notification, based on the information provided during the consultation
  • Consultation and answering the arising questions at the end of the training

The training is provided online following a prior assessment of needs. After the training, a 1-hour Support service is provided free of charge.

PCN administration training

Complex theoretical and practical skills

This training is recommended for those companies who would like to ensure the appropriate theoretical and practical training of their employees submitting the notification so they can independently manage the company’s PCN notification.

2-day training – 2 * 4 hours + 5 hours of support

  • Defining the mixtures required for notification
  • Revising product documentation, checking safety data sheets (composition, classification)
  • Specifying mixture in mixtures (MIM)
  • Defining product categories (EUPCs)

  • Explanation of the functions of ECHA’s cloud-based PCN notification portal
  • Steps of preparing a PCN dossier
  • Submission of a PCN dossier

Structure of the training

Day 1 (4 hours)

On the first day of the training, we explain the theoretical and practical background of the notification. Our expert helps understanding the context through examples, and after discussing the product portfolio of the company, he helps to develop a notification strategy. In the second part of the day, the expert demonstrates the use of the PCN notification portal step-by-step. At the end of the day, the arising questions will be answered.

Day 2 (4 hours)

The program of the second day will be completed at a mutually agreed time. The participants will submit notifications on the test environment of the ECHA Submission portal with the continuous support of our expert while discussing the arising questions. As the part of the service, after completing the training, our expert will be available for answering the theoretical questions related to the notification as well as solving the problems with the use of the notification portal (Support).

PCN notification in practice, step-by-step

Acquiring practical skills for using individually the PCN notification portal

This training is recommended for companies who know that their employees have already have the required theoretical knowledge and are able to understand correctly the PCN regulation but not confident in using the notification portal in practice.

4 hours + 2 hours of support

  • Explanation of the functions of ECHA’s cloud-based PCN notification portal
  • Steps of preparing a PCN dossier
  • Submission of a PCN dossier
  • Explanation of test environment of the ECHA Submission portal
  • Preparation of test notifications, together with the expert and then independently by the participants
  • Evaluation of the test notifications, answering the questions
  • Providing reminder notes

The training is provided online following a prior assessment of needs. After the training, a 2-hour Support service is provided free of charge


PCN Support service

Immediate assistance during the notification process

This training is recommended for those companies who would like to manage the tasks related to the PCN notification on their own, but, if necessary, they would like to have some professional help.

Our Support service has an hourly fee during which we help our Clients via Zoom application to solve the problems arising in the notification process.

Our service, besides the continuous availability, is also provided in a contractual form for a monthly fee, designed for the special needs of the company.

Notification of mixtures via the PCN portal

In accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/542, the notification of hazardous mixtures falling under the scope of Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation is based on the data provided to us via the PCN portal (Cloud-based IUCLID).

For specific requirements or large volume orders, please contact our customer service for providing the best solution for your needs.

The service contains the followings:

  • Generation and validation (if needed) of UFI
  • Determining the concentration range of the ingredients
  • Specifying the colouring agents, fragrances
  • Determining mixtures in mixture (MiM)
  • Defining the product categories in accordance with EuPCS system

Service for PCN update notification

Making a submission up-to-date

There are many reasons when updating the PCN dossier may be necessary. For example, in the following cases: there is a change in the contact data of the supplier or the contact person, you want to add a new trade name or a new UFI code, you want to expand the notification for new target countries. You may be obliged for the update if there is a major change in the composition of the mixture, or if the classification based on health or physical hazards is modified.

While establishing a close communication relationship with our partners, we professionally evaluate the changes affecting their mixtures and update the data provided during the PCN notification, if necessary.

UFI management from generation to validation
